Shipping
Every Holo Holo Bolo is made one at a time, by hand, on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. Once your piece is ready, it is carefully packaged and sent on its way.
Processing time
Finished pieces from the Collection ship within 3–5 business days. Commissions take longer and are quoted individually, since each is composed from scratch around your shell or keepsake.
How it ships
- Sent via tracked, insured mail (USPS or UPS) so your piece is protected for its full value in transit.
- Complimentary insured shipping within the United States.
- Each piece arrives in protective packaging with its hand-signed provenance card — and now and then, a small gathered relic tucked in to make you smile.
- You'll receive tracking by email the moment it's on its way.
International orders
I'm glad to ship worldwide. International shipping is quoted at request, and any customs duties or import taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. Just reach out and I'll take care of the details.
All Sales Are Final
Each piece is an original, one-of-a-kind work of art — gathered, finished, and composed by hand, and never repeated. For that reason, all sales are final. Pieces are sold as-is, and I do not accept returns or exchanges.
I want you to buy with complete confidence, so I'd rather answer every question before you commit than have any surprises after. Please reach out anytime for additional photos, measurements, or details on a piece — I'm always glad to help you find the one that's truly yours.
- Each piece is unique. Slight natural variations, irregularities, and the marks of the sea are part of the character of handmade work made from a natural shell — they are features, not flaws.
- Damaged in transit or not as described? This is the one exception, and I'll always make it right. Natural shell is delicate, so in the rare event a piece arrives damaged or doesn't match its listing, contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos and I'll resolve it by repair, replacement where possible, or refund.
Care & Keeping
Your bolo is fine art jewelry built from a natural shell. Treated gently, it will last for generations.
- Go slow, like island time — adjust by sliding the cord gently rather than forcing it.
- Keep the leather cord dry. Remove it before swimming, showering, or heavy activity — water can stain or weaken the leather over time.
- Handle it with care and store it flat; natural shell can chip if dropped or knocked.
- Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. No harsh chemicals or cleaners.
