Your trust matters. We collect only what we need to serve you, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to remove it anytime.
Who we are
This website and shop are run by Holo Holo Bolo LLC — a small studio in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. Aaron Pomerantz makes every piece and answers every email himself. When this policy says "we," that's who it means.
What we collect
- If you join our list: your email address.
- If you inquire or order: your name, email, and the details you share about a piece or commission.
- Automatically: basic, privacy-respecting analytics (pages visited, general location, device type) to understand what's helpful.
How we use it
- To reply to you, fulfill orders and commissions, and send the list updates you asked for.
- To improve the website and the work.
- We never sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. That's the legal wording and the plain-English truth at the same time — there is no version of this business where your email address gets sold.
Who else touches your information
A studio this small runs on a few outside services. Here is the whole list, and what each one sees:
- MailerLite — runs our mailing list. If you subscribe, your email address and the date you signed up live there.
- Netlify — hosts this website and receives anything you send through a form on it, like a commission inquiry.
- Google Analytics 4 — counts visits and tells us which pages are useful. It doesn't get your name or your email address.
- Etsy — handles orders, payments, and shipping for anything bought through our shop.
- Pinterest — we run the Pinterest tag on this site so we can see which pins actually bring people here and how often that leads to a shop click. It tells Pinterest that a visit happened and sets its own cookie to do so. It never gets your name or your email address.
Each of these is its own company with its own privacy policy, and each gets only the piece it needs to do its job. Nobody outside this list gets your information.
Payments
Purchases are processed securely by Etsy, which handles your card details directly. We never see or store your full payment information — and we will never ask you for a card number by email, text, or direct message. If anyone claiming to be us ever does, it isn't us.
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic, and only the minimal cookies needed to run and measure the site. We don't use it for advertising or remarketing — it's there to count visits, not to follow you around the internet. The Pinterest tag also sets a cookie so Pinterest can tell which pins sent someone here. You can opt out of either anytime through your browser settings, Google's opt-out tools, or Pinterest's personalisation settings.
If you join our mailing list, every email includes an unsubscribe link — leave anytime and we'll stop.
How long we keep things
- Your email address: kept for as long as you're on the list. Unsubscribe or ask us to delete it and it's gone — MailerLite holds a minimal record only so we don't accidentally email you again.
- Orders and commissions: kept for 7 years, because tax and business records have to be. Etsy keeps its own copy under its own policy.
- Inquiries that don't turn into an order: deleted within about 2 years.
- Analytics: expires automatically inside Google Analytics — at most 14 months, and it was never tied to your name to begin with.
Your choices
- Ask what we have, correct it, or have it deleted — just email us.
- Unsubscribe from emails anytime.
Children
Our site and products are intended for adults; we don't knowingly collect information from children.
