This piece exists exactly once. The shell was gathered by hand in Kailua-Kona, Big Island, then cleaned, tumbled and polished on the lapidary wheel. When it finds its keeper, it's gone for good — and it ships with a hand-signed provenance card recording its story.

‘UFO Look’ ʻOpihi is a one-of-a-kind ʻopihi (Hawaiian limpet) shell bolo tie. A large, smooth, otherworldly ʻopihi on a green cord — rounded and luminous, like nothing else. The shell was gathered by hand in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, then cleaned, tumbled and hand-polished on the lapidary wheel. The cord is green leather, 42″ adjustable, finished with silver-tone metal tips. The slide is clasp-less — wet-drilled, with no metal touching the shell — so the cord simply slides to adjust. The shell measures 65 × 60 mm. $145, in stock; ships free in the US with a hand-signed provenance card.
How it wears & care
Keep the leather cord dry and put the bolo on last, after lotion, sunscreen or cologne has dried. Wipe the shell with a soft dry cloth and store it flat or hanging somewhere cool and dry.
