About this piece

Wild Lavender is a one-of-a-kind cowrie shell bolo tie. A leopard-spotted cowrie in lavender and tan, finished with spiral cone tips. Untamed pattern, gentle color. The shell was gathered by hand in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, then cleaned, tumbled and hand-polished on the lapidary wheel. The cord is dark pink braided leather, roughly 36–40″ adjustable, finished with cone shell tips. The slide closes with a metal clasp on the back. $145, in stock; ships free in the US with a hand-signed provenance card.

How it wears & care

Keep the leather cord dry and put the bolo on last, after lotion, sunscreen or cologne has dried. Wipe the shell with a soft dry cloth and store it flat or hanging somewhere cool and dry.
